Poetry challenge

Bring ‘em all in

Poets wanted!

Poets of all ages are invited to submit their original poetry to the Living on the Edge of the World poetry project  – ‘Bring ‘em all in’

All poems will be included in a publication that will draw together images and text from the Living on the Edge of the World festival (a month celebrating art and culture in Whitby), and poets will be asked to read their poem at the final festival event on Saturday March 30th. This will be a daytime event – and where poets cannot attend, audio recordings can be submitted.

How to Submit

Your poem should be inspired by the festival theme – Living on the Edge of the World.

We particularly welcome poems from people who live in the Whitby area, have strong family connections, or fond childhood memories – but maybe you live on another ‘edge’, or the theme resonates with you in another way! However this inspires you to create – we would love to hear from you.

You can email your original poem to flashcompanyarts@gmail.com. This could be a text or an audio recording.  If you send a recording we will transcribe it for you, and check that you are happy with the lay out!

You can post your poem to Bring ‘em all in, Flash Company Arts, Flowergate Hall Community Arts Centre, Flowergate, Whitby, YO21 3BA

Please include your name with all submissions, and make sure that you provide us with a way to get in touch with you!
