Message in a bottle
Storywriters wanted
Imagine what it would be like to find a message in a bottle washed up on the beach, or hidden in a dry stone wall – maybe even under the floorboards of the very house you are sitting in right now!
Story writers of all ages are invited to submit their original tale to the Living on the Edge of the World songwriter challenge – ‘Message in a bottle’.
All stories will be included in a publication that will draw together images and text from the Living on the Edge of the World festival (a month celebrating art and culture in Whitby)
How to Submit
Your story should be inspired by the festival theme – Living on the Edge of the World.
Your story should be 500 words or less.
We particularly welcome stories from people who have a connection with the Whitby area – but we don’t mind what that connection is! However the theme inspires you to create – we would love to hear from you.
You can email your original story to flashcompanyarts@gmail.com. This could be a text, a video or an audio recording (any format is fine).
You can post a printed copy if that’s easier for you to Message in a bottle, Flash Company Arts, Flowergate Hall Community Arts Centre, Flowergate, Whitby, YO21 3BA
