Experimental/ambient musicians and composers wanted
Composers, sound artists and musicians are invited to submit their original recording to the Living on the Edge of the World songwriter challenge – ‘Sound Waves’
All submissions will be included in a digital release on Bonfire Hill Records that will capture this moment in time, and becomes sonic legacy for our brilliant town. We are all looking for the liminal, the hauntological, the nostalgic and the comfort of sounds that can take us to other places – real or imagined. This is an opportunity to bring your sound worlds to new listeners. The recordings will also be played as part of the immersive installation that artist Andi Walker is creating in Flowergate Old Chapel on Saturday 30th March
How to Submit
Your track should be inspired by the festival theme – Living on the Edge of the World.
We particularly welcome songs from people who have a connection with the Whitby area – but we don’t mind what that connection is! However the theme inspires you to create – we would love to hear from you.

You can post a thumb drive if that’s easier for you to Sound Waves, Flash Company Arts, Flowergate Hall Community Arts Centre, Flowergate, Whitby, YO21 3BA
